Ramdane Touhami from Tanger to New York.

Tonight, I met with Ramdane Touhami  from Cire trudon, he told me he was moving from Morocco to New York.
I loved reading the Elle Decoration about his unusual  house back in 2009.

I felt like writing a post about the funky design that represented  him very much in Tangier.

Ann Demeulemeester -

Ann Demeulemeester was born in Belgium, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp in 1981, along with contemporaries Dries Van Noten and Walter Van Beirendonck. Known as the “Antwerp Six”, this group of breakthrough designers went on to put Belgium firmly on the map for innovative design. Demeulemeester launched her own label in 1985 and showcased her womenswear collection in Paris in 1992 and menswear in 1996.

Renowned for her independent style and impeccable architectural construction, Demeulemeester has consolidated her name as one of Europe’s leading contemporary designers. Her creations are timeless works of art that highlight her flair for visually simple lines which hide complex and masterful detailing. Understated to the eye, each design acts as a voice for Demeulemeester’s artistic vision, exploring in depth the complexities of clothing.

Therme Vals-Birthday Weekend-

John, my husband, surprised me with an amazing birthday weekend in one of the most exclusive spas.
The Therme Vals, located in Switzerland, 1200m above sea level dug deep into a mountain,  is a masterpiece which has been declared a historic monument.
Designed by architect Peter Zumthor, Therme Vals is a stunning landmark built from 60,000 stone slabs of Valser quartzite in different shades of grey. The combinations of light and shade, open and enclosed spaces and linear elements make for a highly sensuous and restorative experience.
Valser spring water fills six pools:
A pool floating with rosehip petals, a fire pool (42˙C), an ice pool (14˙C), an indoor pool (32˙C), a panoramic outdoor pool and a pool that echoes with monastic chants!
Below the pool deck is a wellness centre where you can have treatments focusing on relaxation and pampering.
The Therme Vals.
