Five years ago LVMH bought the 19-century trunk maker Moynat.
Moynat’s was founded in 1849 by Pauline Moynat, the daughter of a craftsman, quickly the brand gained a reputation for durability, lightweight, waterproof trunks designed with an inner curve to suit automobiles. Bernard Arnault hired the Indian designer Ramesh Nair.
The new collection itself is small but includes bags, wallets, briefcases, small leather goods and scarves.The palette, too is limited to ca carefully considered selection of ultra sophisticated tones.
